June 2020 - Coronavirus Pandemic
Well, isn't 2020 turning out to be a strange year?
We started off well, with a New Years party in January, then our regular meeting in February, when one of our members, Joan Green, gave a very interesting talk about her work with NPAC (National Police Aid Convoy). In March we went to The Plough to celebrate our 101st Birthday. A lovely evening was had by all those who attended.
As March drew to a close, global events took over, as we all found ourselves coming to terms with the Coronavirus pandemic. The following weeks were strange indeed, as we were in a state of national lockdown, and we all took precautions to keep ourselves safe from catching the Covid-19 virus.
Unfortunately, as with many WI's around the country, meetings had to be cancelled, but members have received updates and correspondence by email, or post.
We're all looking forward to being able to meet up again when it's safe to do so.
